Frequently asked questions
- How is the Net Promoter Score calculated?
- Respondents answer on a 0–10 scale. Scores of 9–10 are Promoters, 7–8 are Passives, and 0–6 are Detractors. NPS is the percentage of Promoters minus the percentage of Detractors, giving a score from −100 to +100.
- How often should I run an NPS survey?
- Most teams survey quarterly, or continuously on a rolling sample of customers. Avoid surveying the same person more than once every 90 days to prevent fatigue.
- Can I change or add questions?
- Yes. Loading the template puts all questions into the survey builder where you can edit wording, add questions, or remove the follow-ups — though keeping the standard 0–10 question intact preserves benchmark comparability.
